Microscopy as

Magnificent Matter observes liquids, pigments and the structures they form. Through microscopy, these small transformations become performances, installations, films and prints — experiences that connect physical matter with the people watching it.

EXPO25 with Sofi Paez & ZEISS Microscopy
A five-day live performance residency on the Cultural Stage of the German Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, combining Magnificent Matter’s live microscopy with piano and voice by Sofi Paez.
Echoes in Orbit with Sofi Paez & Tara Nome Doyle
A live fulldome performance at Zeiss-Großplanetarium Berlin that expands real-time microscopic processes into an immersive visual field, accompanied by live music from Sofi Paez and Tara Nome Doyle.
SPIN2030
For SPIN2030, Magnificent Matter brought live microscopy into a public science programme in Breitenbrunn on 22 May 2024, joining the tour introducing the future Duale Hochschule Sachsen.

A two-night community-produced live event inside Berlin’s Wilhelmine theatre, bringing music, microscopic imagery, interactive installations, film, light and experimental media together as a space for human connection.
