Biodiversity as a Musical Ecosystem

Dobrawa Czocher’s Biodiversity EP approaches composition as an ecosystem. Sounds, harmonies, melodies and performers do not exist in isolation, but through co-dependence, mutual influence and reciprocity.

The collaboration translated this principle into moving image and artwork. Rather than treating the visual work as decoration around the music, each element was conceived as part of a connected whole—an ecosystem in which individual forms gain meaning through their relationship to one another.

Three Films, One Visual Language

Magnificent Matter produced three music videos and the corresponding artworks for the EP, extending the project’s central idea across multiple outputs while maintaining a shared visual language.

One of the archived films is Dawn, directed by Magnificent Matter. The titles and final credits of the remaining two films, together with the precise artwork formats, still need to be recovered from the production archive.
